Being an old spa region, there is the beautiful Spa Pavilion and many ancient castles to see to. The area is popular with golfers, and Strathpeffer Golf Course is quite a challenge.

Although you can drive to nearby places for walks along the rivers, there are just as good rambling tracks near to the hotel. There are fantastic forests, too, or if you want to see some of the village’s history, visit the Old Pump Room, which shows the area’s spa past and has excellent exhibitions on display.
