Barclaycard has just announces plans to offer a credit card that gets you cash discounts is slected shops. Barclaycard has, or will be contacting 30,000 shops around the UK to see if they want to take part in the Barclaycard loyalt card scheme.

You could earn 1p for every £1 you spend in participating shops and restaurants using a Barclaycard credit card when the scheme starts up in March. When you’ve earned enough cash points, you can use them at participating retailers. No news on which shops will be included though, so you’ll have to wait and see but its unlikely that you’ll be able to earn rewards at te major stores as many of them already run their own reward schemes which ties them to one particular shop rather than any of the shops in the Barclaycard reward scheme.
