The Abbey bank account adapts to way you live your life. If you’re in credit most of the time, you could go for the Preferred In Credit Rate Bank Account which is currently offering 8% AER, but it’s only on the first £2500 of savings for the first year, and will drop after that. Still 8% isn’t bad.

If you want to use your overdraft, the Preferred Overdraft Bank Account could be for you. You get an interest-free overdraft for the first 12 months on and then the rate swithces then changes to their standard preferred overdraft rate, which currently shows as 12.9% AER.
