Abbey 7.01% AER 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond
An amazing 7.01% AER savings rate from Abbey (Part of the Santander Group) when you deposit at least £30k into their 1 year fixed rate bond. The 0.01% is probably to get them at the top of the table when it comes to AER, and is a great rate if you have the cash to hand and don’t need it for a year.
It’s a limited offer, so get in there quickly before Abbey have their fill. You can apply in your local branch or on the phone. There is one condition that seems a bit over the top, in that you can’t deposit the £30k from an existing Abbey account. So if you’re an existing Abbey customer, you’ll need to move the cash to another bank before moving it into the Abbey 1 Year fixed rate bond.

Applied for this bond on the 5th June and STILL WAITING for the promised application Forms.
Poor response. Look like placing my funds elsewhere
