What can I do with 3GB a month? 3GB gives you around 100 hours web browsing, 200 music tracks, 100 video clips and sending 2000 emails. Obviously it depends on the length of the music and video clips, and any email attachments, but it gives a good indication. Any downloads over 3GB a month will get you an additional bill of £15 per GB. If you’re worried about going over the 3GB limit, Vodafone have kindly provided a ‘Mobile Broadband dashboard’ to give you an indication of how much of your 3GB data allowance you’ve used. The 3GB is for the UK only, and you’ll have to pay to use Vodafone Mobile Broadband abroad. It depends on which country you’re in, so it might be £9.99 for 24 hours in selected counties, and £4.99 per MB in other countries. Don’t think that you’ll get 7.2Mbps all ove the UK. Vodafone quote ‘up to 7.2Mbps – offering typical speeds of 1.7 – 5.5Mbps’ and this is currently limited to certain locations in London districts and airports around the UK. For all other locations you’ll have to be content with ’1.8Mbps – offering typical speeds of 0.8 – 1.3Mbps’ or simple 3G services.
